Tanya Vece
Tanya Vece has always lived a life laced with controversy. Reaching success at an early age, Tanya opened up her own entertainment public relations firm at the age of seventeen. Since 1997 Tanya has been in and out of gossip columns across the world. Relationships with Keanu Reeves, Jared Leto and Russell Brand ( & their "kids together") have all been whispered about in ink. To their frustration Tanya has, and will always, remain silent giving gossip columnists a subtle middle finger to their chase of Ms. Vece. Finished with high-school at age sixteen, Tanya was participating in a special college program during this time. She received an offer at the age of nineteen to work for Saturday Night Live. Ms. Vece decided to work independently for the likes of Ben Stiller, Chris Kattan, David Spade and Andy Dick. She also wrote an episode of Just Shoot Me for Steve Levitan productions and some of her independently composed skits were used on Saturday Night Live. During this time Tanya sold her PR firm right as she was about to turn twenty-two. Her firm worked with Keanu Reeves, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Spade, The Hank Aaron Foundation, Eminem, Korn, and several other pillars in the Hollywood community. She decided to pursue writing full time. She has worked for several science based magazines, contributed to Rolling Stone, been credentialed by CNN, received an invitation to The International Press Society Awards hosted be James Cameron & Alec Baldwin, was the senior entertainment editor for The Steamboat Local based out of Colorado, and as worked for other various publications. It was during this time Ms. Vece and her friend John Frusciante (red hot chili peppers) decided to open up The Horse Chronicles Online Magazine. Tanya has interviewed Zach Galifianakis, Bumblefoot of Guns N' Roses, Russell Brand, Scott Weiland, Glenn Hughes, George Nastos, Jennifer Storm, Nick Rozz, Fearless Fearless, Mumpsy, Chad Smith, John Frusciante, Sign of One, Broken End, Five Finger Death Punch, and many more.
She has completed four independent books with her fifth book to be published in the spring of 2009. Itch, Love stories about Heroin is based on her relationship with Alice in Chains former-frontman, Layne Staley. The book is her first book to be nationally published. Tanya has been interviewed by The Las Vegas Review Journal, The Seattle PI, WXRX Radio in Chicago, Vegas Rocks, and Howard Stern to name only a few. A book tour is planned for 2009. While writing Itch, Tanya worked as an event planner for a Las Vegas based resort. While she loved the work she notes "I'm not someone who can work for another person." and decided to open TV PR in 2009. The company is a public relations and events marketing & promotions firm based out of Los Angeles & Las Vegas. The primary clientele are people & corporations in the entertainment field. A field Tanya has been working in for over ten years. Long gone are the days of Tanya hosting whales in Las Vegas nightclubs and partying it up. Ms. Vece was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis and a seizure disorder. Since the progression of the disease, Tanya has become reclusive. Her illness has not been the only adversity in Tanya's life. "I talk about my challenges a little in Itch, but I think once I recover from that writing process I will write the story about my life growing up. That is one hell of a story!"
